Station, Daman jointly Cracks Mobile Shop Theft Case – Five (05) Interstate
Accused Arrested, Stolen Mobiles Recovered
In connection with FIR No. 31/2025 registered at Kachigam Police Station under sections
305, 331(4), and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 regarding a theft reported on
07/05/2025 at S.S. Telicom, Shiv Complex, near Kachigam Char Rasta, Daman, Daman Police has
successfully arrested five accused involved in the crime.
The complainant, Shri Sameer Chunara, reported theft of 10 mobile phones, cash of Rs.
67,500, and mobile accessories worth Rs. 12,000. The total loss was estimated at Rs. 2.10 lakh.
Following the incident, as per the directions of Superintendent of Police (HQ & CRIME),
currently holding additional charge as Superintendent of Police,Daman District and SDPO,
Daman multiple Police teams were formed consisting of Crime Branch and Kachigam Police
Station. More than 100 CCTV cameras were analyzed from across Vapi and Daman area by the
various Police teams. Human intelligence was also gathered by Police teams. Based on the CCTV
footages and human intelligence, one accused identified as Azad Mustak Pathan and his location
was traced in Mumbai. Therefore, immediately, one police team proceeded to Mumbai and
traced out the said accused. During his interrogation, it was revealed that other 04 accused
persons are also involved in this crime. Therefore, they were nabbed from Mumbai and Vapi. All
five accused person was arrested at Kachigam Police Station on 13/05/2025 and they confessed
to the crime. Based on the interrogation, below mentioned Muddamal were recovered and
seized.

- Further investigation is ongoing to recover the cash property and to identify any
- additional individuals involved.

- The accused persons have confessed to have committed such crimes in various locations of
- Gujarat, Maharashtra, UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.

- 2) Deevan singh @Rahul S/o Omprakar Thomar, R/o bhayandar East, Thane, Maharashtra,
- Criminal Case: 305 of BNS Naughar PS)
- 3) Rajpati Santram Pal, R/o Bhayandar East, Thane, Maharashtra
- Criminal Case :- 12 case (bhayandar ps, wasai PS, Naughar PS, Kaniya PS)
- 4) Shankar Ramdayal Mourya, R/o Koliwada, near Railway Station, Vapi, Valsad, Gujarat,
- Criminal Case:- 03 (one theft (bhayandar naughar PS), wasai Railway PS)
- 5) Shivam Ashok Pandey, R/o Bhayandar East, Thane, Maharashtra
- CURRENT STATUS:
- All above five accused persons have been arrested and have been granted 03 days Police Custody
- Remand by the Hon’ble JMFC, Daman. Further investigation is in progress to trace other gang
- members and recover additional stolen property.
