PRESS NOTE
The Chief Electoral Officer, UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu held a
meeting with the representatives of recognized political parties on the Special Summary
Revision of Photo Electoral Roll w.r.t. 01.01.2025 as the qualifying date. All the political
parties was informed that the electoral roll revision activities will be held between the
period of 29.10.2024 to 28.11.2024 and citizens will also get the opportunity for filing
claims and objections during this period. The Electors can submit the form through
online/offline mode, however, thrust shall be placed on online mode.
The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to all the representatives of political parties
to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and participate in the Special Camps to ensure
maximum enrolment of eligible electors.
The representatives of Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian National Congress, etc.
attended the meeting.
Seeking the cooperation of political parties, CEO, UT of DNH & DD stated that
special camps will be held on 09th & 10th November, 2024, and 23rd & 24th November
2024 where Booth Level Officers (BLOS) will be present at their respective polling
stations for ensuring maximum enrolment & purity of electoral rolls.

As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, the Draft Photo
Electoral Rolls in respect of 1- Daman & Diu Parliamentary Constituency, Daman District have
been done on 29/10/2024 as required under rule 10 of the Registration of the Electors
Rules, 1960. The Draft Photo Electoral Rolls will be available for scrutiny of public from
29/10/2024 to 28/11/2024 during the office working hours at (1) Office of the Electoral
Registration Officer (2) Office of the Asstt. Electoral Registration Officer /Mamlatdar, Daman
and with all Booth Level Officers at 93 Polling Booths of the Daman Districts.
As required under section Rules 13 and 14 of the Registration of Electors Rules 1960,
claims for inclusion of names, objections for inclusion of names, correction to a particular entry
in Electoral Roll within the constituency, have to be submitted in Form 6, 6A 7, 8, respectively,
as may be appropriate, and to be presented to the above Officials or Officer designated for the
concerned Polling Booths. The above claims and objections will be accepted up to 28th
November 2024.
And as per the amendment in section 14 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950
and corresponding changes in Registration of Electors Rule 1960, the applicants, becoming
eligible for registration with 1st January as qualifying date and subsequent qualifying dates of the
year i.e 01st April, 01st July and 1st October can submit their claims in Form 6, in advance,
beginning from the date of draft publication of electoral roll.
Forms 6, 6A, 7, 8 are available in the above mentioned offices free of cost, Hand written/
typed or multi graphed applications in the prescribed forms also will be accepted at the aforesaid
offices and at all 93 Polling Booths.
Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
Public in General and Political Parties in particular, are requested to scrutinize the Draft
Electoral Rolls and get the names of unregistered eligible electors for inclusion or for correction
in particulars/entries in Electoral Rolls. The time limit for the same is upto 28th November 2024
by 5:00 PM.

Notice of publication of Electoral Roll in Draft
The Electors of the 1- Daman & Diu Parliamentary Constituency.
Notice is hereby given that the electoral roll has been prepared in accordance
with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, and a copy thereof is available for
inspection at my office, AERO Office and all the polling stations during office hours.
The qualifying date for the preparation of the Electoral Roll is 01.01.2025
If, with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim for the
inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection
to particulars in any entry, it should be lodged on or before 28/11/2024 in Form 6,6A,7
,8 as may be appropriate.
An eligible citizens, who is going to attain the age of eighteen years on any of the
subsequent qualifying dates in the year 2025, that is to say, the 1st April, 2025, the 1st
July, 2025 or the 1st October, 2025, may also file his or her claim for inclusion of his or
her name in the roll, in Form 6 in advance, starting from the date of notice, and the
same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with
reference to the respective qualifying date.”
Every such claim or objection should either be presented in my office or to the
AERO or to BLOs or sent by post to the address given below so as to reach me not
later than the aforesaid date.
