The Superintendent of Police, Daman, Shri Ketan Bansal, IPS, addressed a Sampark Sabha at
the Vivekananda Auditorium to promote internal communication, redress staff grievances, and
acknowledge exemplary performance across the police force. The SDPO Shri Gursewak Singh
and all SHOS were present.
Approximately 170 police personnel from all police stations, the traffic unit, and specialised
branches including CID, FRRO, TAC Cell, and others, actively participated. The session served
as a platform for personnel to raise pending issues, grievances, and suggestions for improving
the functioning of Daman Police.
Recognition of Good Work
Several officers were felicitated with commendation certificates for their outstanding performance
in crime detection, investigation, traffic management, and verification duties. Key highlights
included:
- Moti Daman Police: Solved a blind burglary case involving the theft of approximately 120
tolas of gold. - Nani Daman Police: Solved an Amazon fraud case where a LED TV was ordered on a
fake address and misappropriated. - CPS Kadaiya: Arrested a Band Baaja Baraat gang member and ensured full recovery of
stolen property. - PS Kachigam: Arrested a POCSO accused from Uttar Pradesh.
- PS Dhabel: In a coordinated effort, arrested seven accused from five different states in a
Digital Arrest case. - Traffic Unit: Appreciated for efficient traffic management.
⚫ Beat Staff: Recognised for conducting the maximum verifications using the e-Beat app
during the month.
SP Daman congratulated all awardees and urged them to continue their dedicated service with
zeal, honesty, and commitment. He lauded the collective efforts of police personnel across
domains like: Crime detection, Investigation, Traffic regulation, Law and order and Public.safety.
The SP also gave assurance that all grievances and suggestions raised during the Sabha would
be earnestly addressed.
He reiterated the commitment of Daman Police towards ensuring public security and declared a
zero-tolerance policy against organised crime and habitual offenders. He called upon all
personnel to remain vigilant, uphold public trust, and serve with the highest standards of integrity.
The Sabha concluded with a warm interaction over tea and refreshments, fostering camaraderie
among the participating officials.
