Traffic Regulations Advisory for the Republic Day Function, 2026
In the interest of smooth traffic flow and proper parking arrangements during the forthcoming Republic
Day function on 26th January, 2026 at Swami Vivekanand Ground, Nani Daman, Daman, the general
public is hereby advised to follow the following traffic circulation plan to reach the venue:
A) Entry to the Swami Vivekanand Ground, Nani Daman.

  1. All the Invitees are advised to approach the venue from the Mashal Chowk - Bhensrole road and
    enter through the lane on the left side or the right side of the Daman college campus before
    alighting at gate No. 2.
  2. After alighting at gate No. 2, the vehicles shall not be allowed to make a U turn but will go
    straight and exit from the Wad Chowky side, turn left on the Coastal Highway and again turn left
    at the Bhensrole Char Rasta and enter into the venue through the Gate on the Bhensrole Char
    Rasta side of the college and park the vehicle in the parking space of the Swami Vivekanand
    Auditorium.
  3. The invitees without driver can alight at the entrance of the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium gate
    and park the vehicles and proceed on foot to the venue of the function.
  4. The public in general shall enter into the venue by parking their vehicles at the New Bus stand
    and shall proceed on foot to the Venue by using both the gates of the Govt. College i.e. Left side
    gate and Right side gate and onto the Swami Vivekanand Ground via gate no. 4 and 5.
  5. Gate No. 3 and 6 shall be exclusively used for logistics movements and no public shall be
    allowed to enter through these gates.
  6. No vehicles shall be allowed through the venue Wad Chowky side except Emergency and
    essential vehicles.
    B) Parking Arrangements
  7. The invitees shall park their vehicles in the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium Parking.
  8. The new Bus stand opposite the Govt. College shall be used for parking of buses and other
    vehicles by the public. Visitors attending the function are requested to park their vehicles only
    in the designated parking area provided near the venue. i.e. New Bus stand, opposite the
    Govt. College of Arts and Science.
  9. Parking of vehicles on road sides, narrow lanes is strictly prohibited.
    C) Traffic Movement
  10. Commuters are advised to follow traffic signage and instructions issued by traffic police
    deployed at the site.
  11. Certain roads around Swami Vivekanand Ground may experience congestion; motorists are
    requested to plan their travel accordingly and use alternate routes wherever possible.
    D) Public Cooperation
  12. Heavy vehicles should avoid the area during the function hours.
  13. Cooperation from the public is solicited to ensure the event is conducted smoothly and safely.
    Your cooperation in maintaining smooth traffic flow and public safety is highly appreciated.
