Sub.: Regarding regularizing the IN and OUT times of on duty Government staff.
Dear Amit Singlaji I.A.S.,
In the reference to the above cited subject, I would hereby like to mention
that many of the Government on Duty Officers including Collector and other higher authority
officers, don’t come to the office on regular time or can say on office timings. Due to this the
other lower subordinate staff has to suffer, as the officers come to the office at 12:00P.M. instead
to 10:00 P.M., and then within an hour or two, they go for lunch and after lunch some officers
come back to the office by 4:00 P.M., some come by 6:00 P.M. and then they sit back and work till
late night at 10:00 P.M., whereas other subordinate lower staff comes to office at sharp 9:00 A.M.
and then because the officers visit late to the office their out timings also gets late at night and as
they are in the office so subordinating or related lower staff has to wait till the officer leaves the
office.
People of our territory are habitual to 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. office timings, and
hence, common people visit Government offices during 10 A.M. to 6 P.M., but as the officers are
not on time so they are not available and Even the officer’s are not on time on public visit hours,
so people can’t reach to them for their works and so their work suffer.
Through this letter, I would like to inform you, to strictly look into this and
define a regular and fix timings for all the officers, and also fix certain public visiting hours, for the
ease of people, so that common people can easily reach them on defined time. And also the
lower subordinate staff and other relevant staff can finish their 8 hours duty on time and can go
home on time and spend their time with family. Due to non regular timings common people and
other lower staff suffers a lot, as the officers come late and keeps the Government offices open
till 9:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. at night, think about the peon or watchman who is on duty from
morning 9:00 A.M. till 9:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. at night, how long hours they are serving to the
Government? Are they being paid for 12 hours duty? I inform you to stop this irregular time
system of all the officers on immediate effects and regularize the time for all the officers. And also
not any subordinate staff including peon or drivers should be bothered or disturbed after office
hours. They are only bound to work for office not for personal use.
