Daman Police is issuing a strong advisory to all residents and tourists visiting Daman to strictly
adhere to traffic and public safety norms. It has been observed that certain individuals are
engaging in dangerous and unlawful activities on public roads, including:
- Performing stunts or rash driving, especially near public and tourist areas
⚫ Driving or parking vehicles on footpaths, causing inconvenience and risk to pedestrian
⚫ Driving under the influence of alcohol, posing a serious threat to life and safety
Such activities are not only illegal but endanger lives and disturb public order.
Legal Consequences
Daman Police has launched a strict enforcement drive and is taking firm legal action against
all violators under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Motor Vehicles
Act, and other applicable laws. Vehicles involved in such violations may be seized, and
offenders may face hefty fines, license suspension, and even arrest.

On the intervening night of 26/27 June, 2025, a vehicle bearing registration number
GJ05RX9405 was found parked on the footpath along Sea Face Road by the patrolling staff of
Nani Daman Police Station. Vehicle and its driver were immediately taken to the Beat Post
Nani Daman. Subsequently, a challan was issued to the driver U/s 122 and 177 of MV Act.

26/27 जून, 2025 की मध्य रात्रि को, नानी दमन पुलिस स्टेशन के गश्ती दल द्वारा सी फेस रोड के किनारे फुटपाथ पर पंजीकरण संख्या GJ05RX9405 वाला एक वाहन पार्क किया हुआ पाया गया। वाहन और उसके चालक को तुरंत बीट पोस्ट नानी दमन ले जाया गया। इसके बाद, चालक को एमवी अधिनियम की धारा 122 और 177 के तहत चालान जारी किया गया।

દમણ પોલીસે કડક અમલીકરણ ઝુંબેશ શરૂ કરી છે અને ભારતીય ન્યાય સંહિતા (BNS), મોટર વાહન અધિનિયમ અને અન્ય લાગુ કાયદાઓની સંબંધિત જોગવાઈઓ હેઠળ તમામ ઉલ્લંઘનકારો સામે કડક કાનૂની કાર્યવાહી કરી રહી છે. આવા ઉલ્લંઘનમાં સામેલ વાહનો જપ્ત કરી શકાય છે અને ગુનેગારોને ભારે દંડ, લાઇસન્સ સસ્પેન્શન અને ધરપકડનો સામનો કરવો પડી શકે છે. ૨૬/૨૭ જૂન, ૨૦૨૫ ની રાત્રે, નાની દમણ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનની પેટ્રોલિંગ ટીમ દ્વારા સી ફેસ રોડ પર ફૂટપાથ પર GJ05RX9405 નંબરનું એક વાહન પાર્ક કરેલું જોવા મળ્યું. વાહન અને તેના ડ્રાઇવરને તાત્કાલિક બીટ પોસ્ટ નાની દમણ લઈ જવામાં આવ્યા. ત્યારબાદ, ડ્રાઇવરને MV એક્ટની કલમ ૧૨૨ અને ૧૭૭ હેઠળ ચલણ જારી કરવામાં આવ્યું.
