Motor Vehicle Theft Case Solved by Kachigam Police – Two Accused Arrested, Stolen
Vehicle and Mobile Phone Recovered

Kachigam Police Station has successfully solved a motor vehicle theft case,
demonstrating effective investigation and swift action by the police team.
A case was registered vide FIR No. 36/2025 under Section 303(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya
Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, on 30/06/2025, based on the complaint of Shri Chhotelal Shiv Singh
Kushwaha, resident of Chanod, Vapi, Gujarat.
Incident Details:
As per the complaint, on 29/06/2025, the complainant had parked his white Honda
Activa moped (Reg. No. GJ-15-EB-1992) near JR PVC Panels LLP, Ringanwada, Daman and
went for work. Upon returning, he found the vehicle missing. Despite making all possible
efforts, he could not trace the vehicle. He also mentioned that his mobile phone was kept
inside the vehicle at the time of theft.
Investigation & Recovery:
During the investigation, based on technical surveillance and credible secret
information, it was found that the stolen vehicle was parked at Pratham Residency, near
Vinresh School, Saag Falia, Chanod, Vapi. The police team swiftly moved to the location and
recovered the stolen Activa moped, which was later identified by the complainant.
It was further revealed that accused Shiv Balak Pal, residing in the same building, was
using the said vehicle. He was later apprehended & arrest on Dated 02/08/2025, and upon
personal search, the stolen mobile phone was also recovered from his possession and seized.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed the involvement of Premchand Mahavir
Varma and another accused identified as Pandit, resident of Balitha, Vapi. Based on further
intelligence, Premchand Mahavir Varma was arrested from the Kachigam area on Dated
02/08/2025, while efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend accused Pandit, who is
currently absconding.
Current Status:
Both arrested accused were produced before the Hon’ble Court, Daman on
02/08/2025 and have been remanded to Judicial Custody. The stolen vehicle and mobile
phone have been recovered and seized under Panchnama. Further investigation is in progress
to apprehend the absconding accused and uncover any additional links in the case.

Daman police in tackling crime and maintaining public safety.
