Traffic Advisory for New Year Celebration,2026
at Light House Ground, Moti Daman
In view of the New Year Celebrations 2026, various events including Musical concert and DJ
playing of Music are being organised by Tourism Department, UT of DNH&DD, at the Light
House Ground, Moti Daman on 31st December, 2025. In the interest of public safety and
smooth traffic movement, all residents, commuters, and visitors in Moti Daman are requested
to strictly adhere to the following traffic regulations:

1. The entry into the fort from the moat side shall be restricted except for the residents,
   hospital patients and emergency services.
2. No exit shall be allowed from the fort gate on the jetty side except for emergency
   services.
3. The sea front road from Jetty to the place of function i.e. Light House Ground shall be
   completely restricted for any kind of vehicular movements except for emergency and
   essential service vehicles.
4. Only the vehicles of the invitees shall be allowed to enter from the Moat side towards
   the Light house Ground, Moti Daman and after dropping the invitee, the vehicle shall
   depart and park the vehicle at the designated parking place and shall come to pick up
   the invitee on completion of the programme or departure of the invitee.
5. The public who wishes to go to the Lighthouse ground shall use the Mangelwad cut or
   Badrapur cut or Jampore via Dholar. (route shown in attached Map)
6. The public shall park their vehicles beyond the Hotel Praveg point near Light house
   ground area. No vehicle shall be allowed to go beyond Hotel Praveg.
7. The public are advised to park the vehicle properly on the parking side of the road and
   shall not park improperly causing any hindrance to the movement of vehicles.
8. The public are advised to cooperate and follow the instructions of the police personnel
   on field who shall be available to ensure smooth flow of vehicular movements.
9. The public are advised not to indulge in driving under the influence of alcohol or
   engaging in rash and dangerous driving; it is a punishable offence and strict
   enforcement will be carried out.
10. Always give way to ambulances, fire engines, and other emergency vehicles.
    Public cooperation is essential to ensure safety and order on the roads. So, the public are
    appealed to follow all traffic rules and instructions in order to ensure smooth New Year
    2026 celebrations.
