Daman Police arrested 04 accused person for
uploading Objectional and Inappropriate material
on Instagram
Today at about 10:00 hrs, an information regarding a viral video was received at Coastal Police Station, Moti Daman in which one Instagram user had posted a video
on Instagram having objectional and inappropriatecontent. On enquiring about the same it appears that the objectional material have been uploaded on this
Instagram under the inappropriate theme and it
included religiously hateful/provocative lines with
Photograph of Babri Mosque in the background and some texts in Urdu Language. In the said video, two persons can be seen displaying green-coloured flags while riding a moped at Moti Daman Sea Face Road.
Immediately, information was passed to superior officer and on their direction, FIR No. 04/2024, u/s U/s 295-A,
153-A, 298, 504, 505(1) (C), 120-B, 34 IPC and 66 IT Act stand registered at CPS, Moti Daman.
During the course of investigation, 04 persons resident of Daman who had posted such objectional content on
the Instagram were identified and brought to CPS, Moti Daman, where after thorough interrogation regarding the matter, all of 4 accused persons were arrested.
