Religion,superstition and you,we…. : PL Despande

  • Religion, superstition and you, we … *
  • – P.L. Deshpande * On the one hand, I have never been interested in religion, God, worship. I love to see sculptures as a skill of sculptors. I have not saluted any of my idols since I was a child. I don’t believe in pre-birth, rebirth, etc. I have no doubt that the ideas of God and religion have been used by the sly rulers for terror. This country would have been happier if instead of so many saints being born in our country, scientists were born who would establish the science of worldly life. I think the researcher who invents anesthesia and makes medical surgery painless is bigger than any saint. Science does not consider innate superiority. Scientists who preach the truth, clergymen who call on God’s name, and ignorant kings who are under their terror are the most persecuted. There will not be as many enemies of truth and reality as there are people who practice religion. Then they will burn women alive on their husbands’ cheetahs, make their palaces and temples durable by sacrificing human beings, call some untouchables, throw some in the sand, do whatever they want. Man’s blood is shed most of all because of the arrogance of religion and sect; And out of all these struggles, a new dictator seems to have finally emerged. But our history is mainly the history of the battles fought by the kings to seize the roots, of the conquest; And we see how this ancient tradition of the vassals of every victorious king survives to this day. The vassals of the victorious king have covered the truth in it with so many hymns of praise, that the decoration of words covering such people of the past is our understanding of history. Leaders (?) Who led the leaders to the ranks of Buddha and Christ set out. In such a country, it is a crime to write and speak on the basis of intellect and certain evidence. From that, Nama Mahatma has a very big place in our country. This is the belief that can be overcome by remembering the name. No idea where to go and what to swim for. In a superstitious society, there is no power left to judge any event. Language is used for the benefit of a handful of people. No one regrets the mismatch between pronunciation and conduct. ‘Sahanavavatu sahanau bhunaktu’ is a prayer in our Vedas, in which we used to talk about humanity and when saying ‘sahanavavatu’, “go away. It will be ugly. ” So the man would turn away. Again, the Vedas are superior to the superior, even superior to those who recite them.
Even better for those who wear shawls on behalf of the government. When the radio was turned on in the morning, someone would say in a melody that God is the guardian of the poor; And when you come to the gallery, you can see the helpless piles of rubble in the rubbish heap in front of you. Adjectives are used against that God and the people in power. Unfortunately in reality adjectives are not sanctioned. However, they are also conducive to imagination. Calling the untouchables ‘harijans’, believing that untouchability will be destroyed by chanting magic spells, or believing that women will be enslaved after being called deities, is a sign of a far-fetched fantasy. In Pune’s Phule Mandai, the book of Tichun Sarvajanik Satya (?) Narayana is read in the name of those anti-monks. People are blessed with Tirtha Prasad and day by day this superstition is being fertilized by the government. I am over sixty years of age But in the last few years, I have not seen the movement of gods and goddesses like Hindi movies, even in my youth. Building a temple has become as lucrative a business as joining a political party in power I had never heard the name of any Shankaracharya. It takes a queue of devotees to perform Padya Puja by paying one and a half thousand rupees. The Prime Minister of our secular India visits him. The income of temples, churches and mosques is increasing exponentially. From this we fall into nothing but the ego of the followers of a particular caste or sect. Looking at all these social realities, the very word Prabodhan seems meaningless. This is the case with the leaders who are afraid of losing their seats, the rich who are unhappy with the fear of getting rich, and the poor people who are helpless and want to see if God comes to their aid. Ideological modernity does not seem to have touched the society. In the end, this is the truth.
